 Heavy Events
The heavy events are going to hit the Victoria Highland Games with a bang this year. We are hosting an INternation Invitational Only challenge that will feature some of the top athletes in the world. We have confirmed the attendance of the World Champion, the top Canadian at the 2005 world championships, and Provincial Champions. This is going to be a tremendous show.
Come out and witness the spectacle of the caber toss, the sheaf toss, the stone throw, the keg toss and the Challenge Caber.
The Victoria Highland Games Athlete of the Day will be presented with the Roderick McLeod Memorial Cup.

International Invitational Challenge
The Victoria Highland Games are very excited to host what promises to be our best Heavy Events competition ever. We invite you to come out and see some of the greatest Highland athletes in North America including Ryan Vierra - World Champion (pictured left).

Joel Thiessen (Chilliwack B.C.) 7th at world championships 2005 and top Canadian. BC Champion
Christoph Wand (Ontario) Ontario champion- ranked top 6 in Canada
Sean Langford (Beaumont Alberta) 2005 Alberta champion- ranked top 9 in Canada
Dave Laidlaw (Edmonton Alberta) top Canadian thrower
Delore Lakusta (Surrey B.C.) B.C. record holder 17# stone and 20# sheaf toss. Victoria Games defending caber champion
Bob Owens (Vancouver B.C.) Two time Pacific Northwest Masters champion and record holder. Victoria Games defending Keg toss champion
Greg Bell (Seattle Washington) Top ranked amateur in Washington state-2005 B.C. caber champion
