The 3rd annual Tartan Parade will promote the 70th Victoria Highland Games to be held on May 20 at Esquimalt Bullen Park as well as demonstrate Scottish culture, music, dance and sport.

The parade is comprised of local pipebands, highland dancers, heavy event athletes and Scottish organization members.

Leaving at 11:00 am from Centennial Square at Victoria City Hall, the parade will proceed down Government Street to the Parliament Buildings. Around 11:30 am, the Pipe Bands will march and play a variety of tunes on the Legislature lawns and the dancers will do a massed Highland Fling.

As with last year, there will be a caber toss too! The whole event will end around 12:30 pm. and should be a very lively spectacle.
