4th Annual Tartan Parade

Downtown Victoria (from Centenial Square to the Legislature)

The 4th annual Victoria Tartan Parade will be held on May 10, 2008 and features local pipebands, VHGA member highland dancers, and heavy event athletes.

The parade promotes Scottish culture and the 71st Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival to be held on May 17 and 18 at Victoria Topaz Park.

Leaving Centennial Square (Victoria City Hall) at 11 am, the parade will proceed down Government Street to the Parliament Buildings lawns. Around 11:30 am, the pipe bands will march and play tunes, dancers will do a massed Highland Fling, and the caber will be tossed!

This is a free event and will be a colourful spectacle.
