What is it?
The 72nd Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival is a great weekend for the entire family. We want to share our love of Scottish culture, entertain you and give you a great value for money. Here is a list of some of the things you will find over the two days:
Saturday (Celtic Festival)
Planned Saturday events include kilted mile athletics, tug of war competition, haggis hurling competition, sheep dog herding competition, first day of the Team Canada vs Team USA professional heavy event championship (both the current world champion and the Canadian champion are competing) and novice heavy event competition, pipe bands, Celtic rock bands, and Celtic dance, music and entertainment activities.
Sunday (Highland Games and Celtic Festival)
Sunday is the traditional Scottish Games and features competitions in highland dancing, bagpiping and drumming; massed pipe band performances and a spectacular opening ceremonies at noon with massed pipebands and the Fraser Highlanders cannon and musket demonstration (you may even see kilted skydivers too!). The second day of the Team Canada vs Team USA professional heavy event championship (both the current world champion and the Canadian champion are competing) will occur along with an amateur heavy event competition. In addition the great entertainment and hospitality keeps on going.

Saturday (Celtic Festival) $8 Adult, $6 Senior/Youth, children under 12 free
Sunday (Highland Games) $8 Adult, $6 Senior/Youth, children under 12 free
Special Deal - 2 Day Ticket Price: $12 Adult, $10 Senior/Youth
No pets allowed on the field with the exception of assistance dogs.
Parking
There is limited parking at Topaz park itself, but there is overflow parking available at Mayfair Mall. Please respect our neighbours by not parking in residential spots.
There are limited disabled parking spots available at the Glasgow Street Entrance.
There is no RV parking at the Games site as it is in the middle of town and city bylaws do not permit overnight parking. http://www.fortvictoria.ca/ is the website for Fort Victoria RV Park, which is approximately 10 minutes from the Games site. http://www.allfun.bc.ca/ is another RV park at Western Speedway which is approximately 20 minutes from the Games site.

How do you get here?
Getting to Topaz Park
The park is centrally located in Victoria BC at the corners of Blanshard and Finlayson.
Parking
Parking is limited around Topaz Park. We ask that visitors to the games do not park in residential spaces. We are guests of the community, and we ask that you help us to respect their neighborhood. Please consider other modes of transportation.
Transit
We recommend the use of public transit whenever possible. A number of bus routes pass right by the park:
- 6 - Royal Oak Exchange
- 8 - Interurban/Tillicum/Oak Bay
- 70- Swartz Bay/Downtown
- 75 - Airport/Downtown
There are also a number of bus routes that stop within blocks of the park. Please check out the BC Transit Website for more.
Getting to Victoria
By Ferry
BC Ferries run a number of routes to Victoria. The ferry schedule at this time of year has a ferry every hour from 7:00am to 9:00pm (with some exceptions).
By Road
Victoria is accessible by both Highway 17 and Trans Canada Highway 1. You can map a route using Google Maps.
